Broadway Affiliated, trading as Baleads, is the controller of the personal data described here. That means we decide why and how it is processed.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, login details): to create and secure your account. Basis: contract.
• Transport request data (route, dates, passengers or cargo, contact name, company, email and phone): to match you with operators. Before acceptance, operators see only the transport type, pickup and drop-off points, city and country. We release your identity, contact details and additional request information only to the accepted operator after their lead-fee payment is confirmed. Basis: contract.
• Operator business data and documents (registration, insurance, licences, fleet details): to verify operators and show listings. Basis: contract and legitimate interests in a trustworthy marketplace.
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, pages used): for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages: to answer your questions. Basis: contract and legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• The operator whose quotation you accept, after their accepted-lead payment is confirmed.
• Service providers who host and run the Service, including our operator-matching provider.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling plans, managing subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax and dispute purposes. After that we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

We apply the same privacy standards to users everywhere. Depending on where you live — for example under the EU/UK GDPR, US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA, Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA, Australia's Privacy Act, India's DPDP Act, Kenya's and Nigeria's data protection acts, or South Africa's POPIA — you may access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, ask for a portable copy, and withdraw consent. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country. Email support@broadwayaffiliated.co.za and we'll respond within one month, or sooner where your local law requires.

International transfers

Baleads is a global service, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

Baleads is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and private storage for documents. Contact details are shared only with the accepted operator after their lead-fee payment is confirmed.

Cookies

We use only essential storage: to keep you signed in and remember your currency choice. We don't use advertising, analytics or marketing cookies, so there are no preferences to manage. Your browser settings let you block this storage, but signed-in features won't work if you do.
